FILTER SERVICES

D.E. FILTER SERVICE

Diatomaceous earth is a porous powder with microscopic openings that when magnified look like tiny sponges. Clear water can pass through these openings, but particles, as small as two to five microns, are trapped during the first pass through the media. D.E. filters have internal elements that become coated with D.E. It is this 'filter cake' that strains dirt, dust and algae from the water. Similar to sand filters, when D.E. filters become dirty, they are cleaned either by backwashing, or regenerating and draining the clogged D.E. to the 'waste' line. To restore filtration, a fresh 'charge' of D.E. is added to the filter.  Pristine Pools provides D.E. filter service which includes cleaning and recharging your D.E. filter and inspecting the system for cracks and needed repairs.  We recommend annual service to keep your system in tip top shape!

SAND CHANGE

A sand change is a service provided by Pristine Pools to help keep your swimming pool cleaner.  Old and dirty sand makes it impossible to keep the water filtered properly. This service includes us visiting your home and removing the old sand from the filter and replacing it with new sand. Before we put the new sand into the filter we rinse the tank and inspect the internals for any damage. We also inspect the filter for hairline cracks in the center pipe and the lateral fingers. If the lateral assembly has damage you will not have optimal filtration and sand will be released into your pool. We will inform you if your sand filter needs further attention. And yes, there is an additional charge.

SALT SYSTEM INSTALLATION AND SALT SERVICE

A salt system chlorinator is a type of equipment that converts salt into chlorine. This means that with such a system you no longer need to continually maintain chlorine levels by checking and re-checking the chemical in your pool and adding chlorine as you need it. All you have to do with a salt system chlorinator is to make sure that you have the proper amount of salt in your swimming pool. The amount of salt that is required is minimal enough that you can't taste it in the water. If you like to open your eyes in the water it will still be comfortable to open your eyes underwater. The salt level is minimal compared to the salt level the in the ocean.

LET PRISTINE POOLS INSTALL YOUR SALT SYSTEM FOR THE SUMMER!

Our salt service for residential customers includes servicing and adjusting the system and adding the proper amount of salt to run your system throughout the summer.
